Share an Expert via Link
Generate a public link so anyone can query your expert.
With a public link, you can make your expert accessible to other people - even those who do not have a Respeak account. You can offer two flavors of access: a Search link for a quick answer to a single question, or a Chat link for a connected conversation with follow-up questions that keeps context across messages. Each type has its own URL and can be enabled, copied, extended, or removed independently. Visitors who open either link can use the expert without signing in to Respeak.
Create a Public Link
Open the expert
Open the expert you want to share. In the sidebar, click the three-dot icon next to the expert name and select Manage.
Generate the link
Switch to the Access tab. In the Public Access section, click Create link next to the link type you want â Search or Chat.
Choose an expiration time
Select an expiration time for the link: Never (valid indefinitely), After 1 day, After 1 week, After 1 month, or After 1 year.
Share the link
The link is automatically copied to your clipboard. You can now share it by email, chat, or any other way.
Copy or Extend a Link
If a public link already exists, you will see its status and expiration date in the Public Access section. Use Copy link to copy the existing link to your clipboard again. If the link has an expiration date, you can use Extend link to set a new one.
Remove a Link
If you want to restrict access again, click the trash icon next to the link. The link becomes invalid immediately and can no longer be used. Removing one type does not affect the other â for example, revoking the Search link leaves the Chat link active.
IP Blocking (optional)
For extra security, you can enable IP blocking. When this setting is active, the expert can only be used via the public link by people whose IP address falls within the allowed range. You define the allowed IP range in your workspace settings.
On the Access tab, scroll to the Enable IP-blocking section and toggle the switch to active. People outside the allowed IP range will not be able to use the expert, even if they have the link.
Public links can only be created by people who have administrator permissions for the expert. If you only have viewer access, this feature is not available to you.
