Use Example Questions

Use or generate clickable starter questions for an expert.

Example questions help you get started with an expert quickly. They show what kinds of questions the expert can answer and can be asked with a single click.

Where Do Example Questions Appear?

Example questions are displayed on the Search home screen as long as you have not asked a question yet. They appear as clickable cards below the search field in a two-column grid (single column on smaller screens). Once you ask a question, the example questions disappear to make room for the answer and the source overview.

How Are Example Questions Created?

Example questions can be created in two ways. Automatically generated: Respeak suggests suitable questions based on the expert's knowledge - the person managing the expert clicks Generate in the expert settings. Manually added: The person managing the expert can write and add their own questions.

Using Example Questions

1

Browse the topics

Read through the displayed questions to get a sense of what topics the expert covers.

2

Click a question

Click an example question that interests you. The question is automatically placed in the search field and submitted right away. You receive an answer with sources, just like any question you type yourself.

A Good Starting Point

Example questions are especially useful when you are using an expert for the first time and want to see what topics it covers. They also help when you are not sure how to phrase your question. And they are a great way to show others what the expert can do - for example during a presentation or onboarding session.

Configuring example questions (for expert managers)

If you manage an expert yourself, you can customize the example questions in the expert settings.

1

Open settings

Open your expert's settings and navigate to the Example questions section.

2

Manage questions

Here you can add new questions manually, generate questions automatically (based on the existing sources), choose the language for generated questions, and edit or remove existing questions.

â„č

There is a maximum number of example questions per expert. If the limit is reached, you need to remove existing questions before you can add new ones.
