The Global Knowledge Base
Export and import global training data via Excel.
Some answers can come up at any point in a dialog â a request for help, a greeting, a question about how things work. These belong to your Global training data, which applies across the whole dialog rather than to a single block.
When you have a lot of global records, editing them one by one is tedious. The Global knowledge base â Excel import/export lets you manage them all in a spreadsheet.
Export, edit, re-upload
Open the tool
In the Train module choose Excel import/export (global). The dialog notes that this training data applies to the entire dialog.
Download the Excel
Click Download Excel to export all your global training data as a single file.
Edit in your spreadsheet
Add, change, or remove rows in Excel â far quicker than editing records individually.
Upload again
Click Upload (delete old) and select your file to bring the changes back in.
Uploading replaces all existing global training data. The records currently in the system are deleted and swapped for whatever is in your file. Always start from a fresh Download Excel so you're editing the complete, current set â and keep a copy as a backup.
The Excel format
Your file must contain these columns:
Column | Contents |
|---|---|
User input | The user input â an answer participants might give. |
Bot response | The bot response for that input. |
Global training data always uses the follow-up action (Nachfrage), so the bot replies and stays in place rather than jumping elsewhere. The Excel file should be smaller than 15 MB.
After re-uploading, evaluate a few sample answers to confirm your global records still match as expected.
