Set Up Notifications
Route events to Email, Slack, Teams, or a webhook.
Notification integrations keep you automatically informed when important events happen in your workspace - for example, when a document has been processed successfully, an error has occurred, or usage is approaching a limit.
Respeak supports four notification types: Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Webhook (for custom systems).
Manage Notifications
Open Settings
Open your workspace and click Settings in the sidebar.
Select Notifications
Select the Notifications section.
You will see an overview of all configured integrations, showing each integration's name, type, status (active/inactive), number of subscribed events, and creation date.
Add a New Integration
Start the integration
Click Add Integration.
General settings
Give it a descriptive name (e.g. "Team Notifications Slack"), choose the integration type (Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Webhook), and decide whether the integration should be active right away.
Configure the connection
Configure the connection depending on the type you selected (details below).
Create
Click Create.
The integration type cannot be changed after creation.
Connection details by integration type
Email - Enter one or more recipient addresses. Optionally add CC recipients.
Slack - Provide either a webhook URL or a bot token and channel. A setup guide is shown directly in the form.
Microsoft Teams - Enter the incoming webhook URL for your Teams channel.
Webhook - Enter your endpoint URL and select the HTTP method and, optionally, an authentication type.
Select Events
When creating or editing an integration, you choose which events should trigger a notification. Options include Document events (processed successfully or failed), Expert events (expert created, configuration updated), User events (invited, joined, registration pending), Subscription events (renewed, expired, quota alert), and Integration & system events (connection errors, microservice errors, and more).
You can also enable entire event groups at once, for example "All Document Events" or "All Error Events".
Test an Integration
Before relying on a notification, you can verify that everything is set up correctly.
Start the test
Click Test next to the integration in the list.
Send a test event
Select an event type and click Send Test. You will see a confirmation of whether the test notification was delivered successfully.
View Logs
For each integration, you can review a log of all sent notifications. Click View Logs in the integration list to see entries with a timestamp, event type, status, and any error message. This lets you verify whether notifications were delivered or if there were any issues.
Enable or Disable an Integration
You can turn an integration on or off at any time without deleting it. Use the toggle in the integration list. A disabled integration will not send notifications but keeps all its settings intact.
Delete an Integration
Click the delete icon next to the integration in the list and confirm the action in the dialog that appears. The integration is permanently removed.
Log entries for previously sent notifications are preserved even after deletion.
