Use Integrations
Connect Confluence, SharePoint, or GitHub Wiki as sources.
With integrations you can connect external knowledge sources directly to your expert. Instead of uploading documents manually, Respeak imports content automatically from the connected system - either once or on a recurring schedule.
How to Get to the Integrations Section
Open your expert, go to Settings > Knowledge, and click the Integrations button.
Available Integrations
Respeak currently supports three integrations: Confluence (imports content from selected spaces in your Confluence knowledge base), SharePoint (accesses documents and pages in your SharePoint environment), and GitHub Wiki (imports content from the wiki pages of your GitHub repositories).
More integrations (e.g. Google Drive, Notion, Slack, Jira, and many more) are planned and will be available in future releases.
Set Up an Integration - Confluence Example
The process is similar for all integrations. Here is how it works with Confluence:
Select the integration
In the New Integration area, click Confluence, then click Connect.
Enter connection details
Provide your Confluence URL (e.g. https://your-team.atlassian.net/wiki), your Confluence Username (your username or email address), and your Confluence API Token (a special access token that you can create in your Atlassian account settings).
Choose the sync type
Select either Sync Once (content is imported once) or Recurring Sync (Respeak automatically updates the content at regular intervals).
Select spaces and start
Click Connect, select the Confluence spaces you want to import, and start the integration. The connection is established and the content is processed - depending on the amount of data, this may take a few minutes.
Sync Intervals
If you choose recurring sync, you can set how often Respeak should update the content: daily (every 1 day), weekly (every 7 days), every 14 days, or monthly (every 30 days). This keeps your expert up to date automatically, without any action on your part.
Manage Active Integrations
In the Active Integrations tab you can see all configured connections at a glance. For each integration, the name of the connected service, the address of the source, the current status, the last sync time, and the next scheduled sync are displayed.
For each active integration you have the following actions:
Sync Integration - Start a manual sync to update the content immediately.
Settings - Adjust the sync settings, such as changing the interval or selecting different areas.
Delete - Remove the integration. You will be asked whether to also delete all associated content from the expert.
If an integration shows the status Probably Failed, you can restart the process using the Retry Integration button.
