Comparing & Filtering Responses
Group data by the answers to one question and compare the groups.
Averages tell you what happened overall â but the more interesting question is often who answered differently. The Group comparison view lets you split your participants into groups and see how those groups answered the rest of your questions.
How group comparison works
You pick one question to group by. Respeak then sorts every participant into groups based on how they answered that question, and shows you how each group responded to your other questions.
A plain example: group everyone by their answer to "Are you a new or returning customer?", then look at how each group rated "How satisfied are you?". In other words â do people who answered X rate Y differently?
Spotting what matters
Comparing every group across every question can be a lot to take in, so Respeak does the heavy lifting. An automatic test checks your Rating scale questions and flags any where the groups answered noticeably differently.
Turn on Showing only questions with significant differences to hide the noise and see just those questions. Each flagged question carries a hint that significant differences were detected between the answer groups, and a Learn why link explains the finding. Toggle back to Showing all questions at any time.
Significant differences are where your insights usually live. If one group rates an experience much lower than another, that gap is a clear, data-backed signal of where to focus.
If no rating-scale questions show meaningful gaps, Respeak tells you so â and may ask for more data before it can draw conclusions. A larger number of responses makes the comparison more reliable.
