Designing Your Dialog

Logo, background, favicon, colours, avatar, and the messenger or form style.

The Design tab controls how your dialog looks to participants — from your branding to the way the bot replies. Open it from the left navigation in the Edit module.

Branding and colours

Setting

What it does

Your logo

Shown in the top-left of the dialog interface. Ideally rectangular; the size is adjusted automatically to 150×27px.

Background image

Shown slightly blurred behind the dialog interface.

Favicon

The small icon in the browser tab. Ideally a square image (e.g. 32×32px or 64×64px).

Highlight colour

Used for the header of the dialog interface.

Background display options

Once you add a background image, open Background display options to fine-tune it. You can set the Size (Fill, Fit, Original, Inherited, or a custom width), Repeat, and Position, and adjust Opacity, Rotation, Blur, Brightness, and Grayscale. Use Reset to default to start over.

The bot's appearance

  • Avatar — the image shown as your bot's avatar in the dialog interface.

  • Avatar name — your bot's name, shown in the dialog interface.

Messenger style and speed

  • Messenger style — choose how your dialog is delivered. The default is Messenger, the classic chatbot style. Alternatively, choose Form to present one question per page.

  • Speed — when using the Messenger style, this controls how fast your bot replies: Slow, Normal, or Fast.

💡

A reply Speed of Normal feels the most natural for most conversations. Reach for Fast when your dialog is long and you want to keep things moving.
